500 GB Optical Discs

500 GB Optical Discs, is it possible?
After passing through Blu-ray and HD DVD out in the market for 500 GB may not seem like much. However, this number is very difficult to achieve by just adding layers and creating new formats. According to research last optical disc is a technology that can cram that much data in a normal DVD disc or Blu-ray HD.

"MicroHole" project is what they call, after this research we will be able to use regular HD DVD and Blu-ray and record much more information about them. They want to make this record not only for stacking films and forget about them. Has been created to secure data storage, long-term storage, as well as long-term data.

Microholographic is a longer version of "MicroHole" and this is the technology used to make the disks. This technology consists of nanostructures inside the disk and work for us as much information on a disc as possible. It is assumed that there is no need for multiple layers, like most people thought.

Moreover, problems with reading scratched discs TDK resolved already so just need to know how to squeeze the amount of data needed in a single disc. Researchers are not satisfied with your unit so far. They will try to make the capacity limit of up to 1 TB. Large hard drives are too expensive to buy when you can use "MicroHole" technology.
